Product: HP Pavilion - 17-ar007ca
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have an HP Pavilion - 17-ar007ca. Its dead with a black screen and I'm trying to remove the hard drive to backup the data.
I can't find any maintenance manuals or anywhere that shows how to open up the cover to replace the hard drive.
PLEASE HELP.
Andrew

Hello adunowski,
Maintenance and Service Guide here. There are 12 total screws that hold the bottom cover. This is detailed on pages 25-26.
Before you proceed to remove the bottom cover, make sure to follow the steps on pages 24-25 on removing the optical drive.
Hard drive related stuff is on pages 28-29.
Hope this helps,
Eddy
