I have recently been getting multiple bsod events on my laptop. Managed to run diagnostics once and found the memory is likely to be dodgy because the test remained at 17% for 8 hours.

I bought the machine from Currys and unable to find a manual online and HP website redirects me back to Curry's.

So I want to know how to open the machine base so that I can change the memory.

I have removed all the screws but cannot get the plastic cover off

Any advice or link to a video greatly appreciated

Thank you

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

I had no idea that was the model so I am happy that I now have the diagrams and manual. But I'm still battling to get the base open and getting the feet off is a challenge

You're very welcome.

You probably will need to invest in a set of notebook pry tools to dig under the feet and lift them up, and work the plastic pry tools around the case once you are sure all of the screws have been removed.

Paul has given you some great advise and help to solve your problem, take care when prying your cover off and while working inside your Laptop. My Pavilion is so easy, 1 screw and a back cover comes off to let you work on Drives and Memory. Why can't HP do this on all of their Laptops?

I always find this part the fun part and hope you get your Memory changed without further issues. Of course you have checked to make sure you can upgrade/update your Memory. Hopefully your Laptop will allow for this.
