HP Notebook - 15-da0255ur
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello HP Support Community,

I have an HP 15-da0255ur laptop and I’m looking for a way to turn it on without opening the lid. This is important for my setup, where the laptop is used in a closed-lid configuration with an external monitor.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any relevant settings in the BIOS—there seems to be no option like “Power on AC” or “Wake on USB” available on this model.

Ideally, I would like the laptop to automatically power on when AC power is connected, or at least when a USB device (e.g., external keyboard) is plugged in.

Are there any possible solutions or workarounds that do not require soldering or any physical modifications to the hardware?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @crash1e

It is not possible  ,The only alternative you have is to go to power settings and select never turn off with the lid closed. But it will always be running
