I would like to upgrade the ram and hard drive on my HP 15-da0086od laptop. There are only 4 screws on the back and there doesn't appear to be any simple way to remove the back cover to access the components. I was unable to locate a service guide. Can anyone help with this?

Thank you! I figured it had to do with popping off the back cover some how. Not sure what kind of tool could be used to slip between the edge and the cover. Seems pretty tight. I tried using a credit card but that didn't seem to work.

They make nylon pry tools for that kind of work nowadays. Somthing like this...

I don't understand why they couldn't put service doors on these new models.

 

I realize they are thin and light but they could have put a couple of stantions for a couple of screws to hold the access door on.
