Hey guys, have recently purchased this rather nice notebook and wondered if it does in fact have the required hardware mobile module fitted or not. There is a SIM card slot on the right side of the notebook with a blank plate installed which does spring release but I guess this does not necessarily mean if I place an active SIM card inside that it will necessarily work.
Is there a way to see if it has the necessary hardware for mobile SIM connectivity?

Hi:
Yes, there is an easy way to tell.
You would have had to pay a fortune for one with the mobile broadband option.
Seriously... without having to take the notebook apart, the easiest way to tell if your notebook has the required mobile broadband hardware would be to go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category and you should see 3 networking devices.
The model ethernet adapter, the model wireless network adapter, and the model mobile broadband adapter.
The specs for your notebook indicate that it would come with these 3 devices if it had mobile broadband.
