I recently purchased a new HP 15-DY1731MS, i5-1035G4, 8GB ram, 128GB M2 SSD. I would like to replace the 128GB M2 with 512GB M2 3d-NAND NVME PCIE SSD, high speed 3400mbps. Also, I'd like to add another 8gb ram, to make it 16GB as a whole. Please advise the steps involved to replae the SSD and reinstall all the drivers and Windows 10 Home OS. This product came with Realtek Wifi and and Realtek audio drivers. Will this void my warranty? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help
As per the Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06510442 the Notebook can support up to 16 GB Ram and the following SSD Hard drives
To reinstall the Windows you need to use the HP Recovery Media. Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04641788
Thank you

Hi,
Thank you for taking time to respond to my request.
I am a little confused with ssd you have mentioned. The term “TLC” and “value” are confusing me. I have ordered the WD SN750 without heatsinks, please let me know if this is compatible. WD_Black SN750 500GB NVMe Internal Gaming SSD - Gen3 PCIe, M.2 2280, 3D NAND - WDS500G3X0C https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MH2P5ZD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_PLvoFbG5N0JGH. Thanks a ton.

The Service Guide doesn't mention the NVME SSD Hard drive though, it might work but HP cannot guarantee the functionality or performance since a NVME SDD Drive hasn't been tested with this particular Model.
