Product: 15-da2012TU
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am currently using  HP laptop of model 15-da2012TU (Notebook). According to specifications, it has 4GB RAM with 2666MHz of speed. But now I want to upgrade it. Can I use 8GB, 2666 MHz RAM with existing 4GB RAM or do I need to have another 4GB RAM with 2666MHz of speed ? What would be the best option ? Could you please help me ?

Hi:

 

You can use an 8 GB DDR4-2666 MHz memory chip along with the 4 GB chip.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure...
