HP elitebook 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product: Elitebook 840 G5

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)

Hello, recently the battery in my 840 G5 began to inflate and was already popping out the display from the frame. As I needed a replacement fast, I ordered a 3rd party replacement battery specifically for this model. It turns out that this new battery is working fine with no issues a very good run-time. However, ever since the computer keeps complaining at boot-up, but also when waking up from stand-by(!) that it has detected a "non-hp battery" (error 605) and that this could be a "health and safety risk". I always need to manually confirm this message to continue.

While I appreciate that HP is worried about my health and safety, I would now like to explain to the tablet that I understood the warning and am willing to take that risk. This is getting very annoying, also because I usually use it folded up with a docking station but at that point the external bluetooth keyboard is not yet active and so I always need to unfold it to confirm.

Does anyone know how to switch off that warning for good?

Thanks and best regards

Abdullah
