A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.
I understand that you would like to know if the graphics card on your HP Notebook - 15-r208nx can be upgraded. I'll surely answer this for you.
I would like to inform you that we do not recommend making any changes to the laptop hardware as the laptop is designed to best work with the existing configuration. However, if you would like to make any upgrades then you may do it at your own discretion.
I did some research on this and found that the Nvidia 820M N15V-GM 1 GB VRAM can be used an upgrade for this laptop. (Source: page#2 of the service guide)
I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers! 🙂

Yes the service guide is the correct one, but I have to weigh in here to resolve an apparent contradiction. As the manual shows, there was an optional 820M nVidia offered on this model. But what you need to understand, consistent with your question, is that to get this "better" video it would be necesary to replace the MOTHERBOARD. This is not cheap and it may be hard to procure the motherboard you would need. Laptops have the video chip soldered to the motherboard and it cannot be upgraded or replaced in the way you are asking about.

i just did sir, i understood, my question was about upgrading the graphic card but seems like its not possibe to upgrade it to a better one unless i change the whole motherboard, alright thanks both of you for the help! c:
