Hi
I am searching my motherboard specs cause I want to upgrade the ram and the hd
I now have 4GB RAM and 1TB mechanical Hd.
1. Can I add a 4GB or 8GB RAM on the other slot or do I have to buy a pair of dual channel Rams? Whar is the maximum size of Ram that I can use?
2. Some say that the Motherboard has an M.2 slot. Does it and if it does what is the maximum size of size that I can use?

Hi:
Yes, if you want to add a memory chip to the existing one, that will normally work fine as long as you choose one that has the same specs as the one HP installed.
I wouldn't waste my time just installing another 4 GB chip.
Get one of the 8 GB chips, and someday you can get a second one if you want more memory.

Yes, your notebook's motherboard has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's since it has a Ryzen 3 3200U processor.

Yes, that will be fine as long as you know that HP installed a DDR4-2400 memory chip in your notebook
The max speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at is 2400 MHz, but since your notebook is relatively new, HP may have moved on to DDR4-2666 memory chips at the time of assembly.
If you are not certain of the speed memory HP installed unzip and run the free utility that I attached below, and it will tell you the actual speed of the memory chip HP installed as well as the speed it is running at.
