I dropped my laptop and now I get a cannot find operating system error. I have done the diagnostic page. Memory all passed and hard drive passed quick test. But I cannot get to the recovery page or anything. I took the hard drive out and it works on my daughters computer, but when I put it back in mine it still doesnt work. Please help if you can.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry! We are in your corner.
I understand that your HP notebook is not working correctly after the accidental drop. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. The last thing I can suggest try and restore the OS back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue. The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.
