Hi I am having issues with my hp 15 omen laptop, the main battery was dead so I removed this and only use it on mains power. Recently I have been getting a issue with the laptop not remembering the date so cause issues with the bios. I have tried to change the CMOS battery but can't find it. Can't tell if it has one on the motherboard, could the CMOS battery be link with the main battery that was removed ?

Hi:

 

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

 

If it has an internal battery, with very few exceptions, it will not a CMOS/RTC battery.

 

The main internal battery also serves as the CMOS battery to maintain the system BIOS and clock settings.

 

But your question cannot be accurately answered without my having the model number or product number of your notebook.
