I have hp 15cs-1000tx laptop where online it shows this model supports  ddr4 2400 whereas laptop contains pc4 -2666v ddr4 samsung 8gb ram while upgrading which ram am I supposed to use ?

Hi:

 

Since HP installed a DDR4-2666 MHz memory chip (which only runs at 2400 MHz), I recommend you install the same speed memory chip.

 

Best to have matching components if you can.

 

I checked the crucial memory site for a compatible chip for your PC and this is the one they recommended.
