Generally amazing answers should get accepted as solution, I think. I think you are looking at page 96 of the Manual and the read/write speeds stated there are the speeds that are achieved by the SATA-3 M.2 or other SSDs used from the factory. So the speeds are not hardware maximum capability. However, it can ONLY take SATA-3 SSDs whether M.2 or 2.5 inch and read and write speeds in the 500s are about as good as that technology can provide. It's still very fast compared to the 150 or so you get from mechanical drives.

Not sure that is exactly the right Product Number but here is the Service Manual for the 250 G6:
The search features on the support page reject that product number. I think the "7" at the end is not right. What you can do depends on the processor you have. If its a Celeron or Pentium it takes DDR3 memory and has a single slot maxxing at 8 gigs. Also it will not have an M.2 slot. If its an Intel Core processor (i3, i5, etc.) then it has two slots and takes DDR4 memory and can actually use up to 32 gigs. And it also likely has an M.2 slot so you can add an SSD to the existing hard drive but you need to open the computer to double check that before buying upgrade parts.
Please post back with your correct product number or at least the processor type in your laptop and we can be more specific.

You are right. I see it is an i5 model so it has two slots for DDR4 laptop memory up to 2 x 16 = 32 gigs and likely has an M.2 slot which looks like this:

It takes a SATA-3 2280 form factor M.2 disk like this:
Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.

SATA M.2 and a 2.5 inch SATA work at the same speed so there is no advantage to an M.2 really. Also you do not know for sure there really is an M.2 slot on the motherboard so the very safe thing to do is to buy a decent sized SATA-3 2.5 inch SSD and replace the hard drive with it. 100% that will work. RAM is 2400 speed modules but will operate at 2133 "bridged". so yes buy DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM modules for it.
