I bought this laptop with 2+3 years warranty for 299€ for my student daughter. After about 1 year, plastic around screen near left hinge started to peel off, and left hinge started to get stuck, too. We went to store for help, and they sent it to MR servis, HP authorized service. They have horrible reputation on Google reviews, and soon I found they deserve it. They concluded its user error (its not, this was my daughter 3rd HP laptop, and previous two, except been old, are still in mint condition, she is very careful with them)
They refused to honor warranty, and asked 420€ for repair, which is hilarious, as I could buy new one and have 120€ to spare.
I would advise someone from HP review this service reputation on google reviews, and I could even link some Croatian forum user experiences, which are mostly bad
I'm 40 years in IT, and its sad to see how HP reputation is going down, used to be #1 quality back in 1980s and 1990s.

Despite better judgement, wife tried to argue with service over phone, but they blamed HP saying HP representatives didn't approve service.
Seeing how many people post similar problems with many HP laptop models, maybe its time to improve quality in general.
meanwhile, I'm going to make Youtube video of my wife and kids destroying laptop with hammers, maybe we can generate some money that way to cover replacement
