I want to upgrade my Hp 431 notebook HDD to an SSD drive. Should I buy an nVME or sata ??

I don't know what the motherboard supports.

And I wanna know if the upgradation would work or not??

Your notebook would use a 2.5" SATA SSD--a direct swap for the hard drive in there now.

 

I think a SSD should work, but I can't guarantee it.

 

You can shop for compatible SSD's for your model at the link below...

But I want to be sure .. that if it will support SATA 3 or M.2 2280 model... These both model is wd sata ssd ...but I don't know if it'll work..

Your notebook will only support a SATA SSD. 

 

There are no M.2 slots in your PC.
