My Hp 840 G6 laptop has a F10 number lock key, what does it do actually has it does not have separate 

numbers keypad.

Very good question, I have not noticed that til today (because I always use external keyboard on my machine). We always have numlock on its keyboard anyway. It actually has a light which shows numlock is ON and this light links to external keyboard (in my case). From manual (page 13).

 

                 Num lk light - On: Num lock is on.

 

Sorry, its manual ONLY says that.

Found it, there are numbers on the keys jkluio789 keys and the number lock lets you use them for numbers, why you would need that I don’t know
