Wow, HP has the absolute WORST warranty policy.  My rubber pads have become unglued from my $900 ENVY laptop and I called them for replacements.  They said because my laptop is out of warranty they cannot send me free replacements and that I would have to pay for support on this.  Get this.....My one year warranty expired 10 hours ago....No joke.  They would not honor a warranty on a part that probably cost them  25 cents becuase I called the warranty department 10 hours too late on a one year warranty.  I will never purchase another HP product again because of this. It's not like I was asking to have a major repair done out of warranty, we are talking about rubber feet on a laptop.  Goodbye HP.

Doesn't matter if you're in warranty or not.

I'm in warranty and I tried twice to have them ship the replacement feet.

Both times they say they can't ship it for me to do it myself - really a simple, non-evasive procedure.

Instead, I have to ship the whole laptop back to them for them to install.

This requires that I'm without a computer for 7-10 days.

I use the laptop for business and source of income and I cannot be without it for a whole week!

Totally dissapointed.

I just did a web chat with a customer respresentative who is sending me the rubber feet (2 of them were lost since I was not expecting stuff to fall off the envy 360x).  I purchased this laptop last november so I am well within the warranty.  I agree with everyone who has had issues that they should send the feet.  After all, it is way cheaper for them to send the feet than it is for a round trip for my laptop to their repair facility.  I was given a CSO number and expected delivery is march 19th.  In case you are ever given a CSO number, you can check the status at www.hp.com/repair

Hi Greg210,

Thanks for sharing.  This is really helpfull and encouraging.

I tried both webchat and calling and neither were successfull.

I was told by Customer Service that they can't ship the feet because they don't have a part number (he used another term) asigned to the rubber feet strips.

Can you provide any feed back as to details of the parts that they'll ship to you?

Any suggestions on your approach that would help?

Thanks!

Hi hsubox,

I just received the rubber feet today.  The package came from a service center in Jeffersonville, IN and I received 1 package with 4 rubber feet in it.  Since seeing is believing, here is a photo of what I received with one placed next to one of the remaining feet on my hp envy.  The part number as shown is:  856816-001  I just now need to figure out what glue I should use as I am a little weary of the adhesive they used on the original and the replacements.
