Hp Laptop 15-da0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear community,

I love playing games, but since i bought this laptop i had RANDOM performance issues in every game(fps drops, lag), from wow classic (a game from 2004) to league of legends and for honor. I tried almost everything i know might cause the problem. Here is a list of things i tired :

- Update System Drivers, Graphic card Drivers, Bios Drivers, every driver there is on laptop is up to date.

-Power options are all set to max performance

-I turned the antimalware scan execution rom windows off and on but no change

-I turned in the registry editor all related settings for game DVR off.

-i tweaked every possible setting in games.

-i run diagnostics for hardware problems, software,Ios ecc... problems.

-maybe i forgot something else i tried

after all of this i noticed that when i unplug the ac adapter everything works great. I was very confused. Everytime i had a fps drop or lag i checked the task manager and the tab where it says power usage(relative to the game) it went from "high" to low. I checked online and others reported that this has to do with the provided ac adapter (65w) isnt powerfull enough and that they solved the issue with a 90w  ac adapter. As im not an expert i dont know if i could damage my Laptop using another ac adapter. I did read online from various sources that only a lower voltage efficency might harm the laptop but not a higher one. Another issue i read about is that hp ac adapters have something called smart chip, which would prevent an universal adapter from powering my laptop.

Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
