Hi!

My laptop's battery is draining fast.


When I use it while it's charging, it charges slowly. However, when I charge it while it's off, it fully charges within 40 minutes. Despite this, the battery only lasts for about 30 minutes of usage before the laptop shuts down. I noticed that the battery percentage dropped from 55% to 40% in just 5 minutes. I am only browsing the internet, not gaming or doing any intensive tasks.


What can I do to fix this?

I recommend running the battery test. I expect it will fail the test.

 

 

From your description of the issue, your battery is probably into several years of use. Batteries are only covered under warranty for one year and that is industry wide.

 

Replacing the battery with a genuine replacement battery should resolve the issue.

 

Identifying your laptop as "15s-eq2***au" is not helpful.

Counterfeit, knockoff or gray market batteries batteries are not genuine and may not function as expected!
