Hp Omen Dekstop 870-224 ram upgrade?

I did read the upgrading info about this pc , i can upgrade cpu to i7 and ram to max 16 gb with 288 pin and blah blah , now do i have to buy 2 different rams both 8(16) or should i just buy 1 same hp stick of  8gb ram (i dont see hp selling those).

Your machine has 2 slots of RAM and supports 16GB of RAM max. Its specs

Currently it has 8GB on one slot, all you need to buy another piece of 8GB with SAME specs as the existing RAM to be able to get full benefit of dual channel architecture and stable. If you could not buy a 8GB piece with same specs you may need to buy two pieces and you can buy from

So can i just add up the 8gb crucial stick to the 8gb one already in my pc (from the omen 870-224 dekstop) to make it 16?
