Pavilion 15 DK1056wm
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi there

So, I own an Hp Pavilion Gaming 15 DK1056wm and I am having battery issue with it. I have recently purchased it and it is still in warranty. However, I have concerns about its battery timing, which hardly lasts 3 hours. Though I run a few battery-consuming software on it as I am into video animation work but still I guess I am missing something. ( I use a software called Videoscribe for animation, not something pretty heavy such as Cinema 4d or anything like that)  Anyone here has an idea on what should be the ideal battery timing of my system and is hardly a 3-hour battery timing okay for a brand new laptop?

Firstly, I never asked for how to install the updates on my pc/laptop, as I am well aware of that process and my system is loaded with latest updates. I simply asked for an estimated battery timing of HP Pavilion 15 Gaming Laptop, because the laptop I got hardly two months back would only last for 2.45/3 hours at mixed usage, let alone gaming on it. And you guys have mentioned on your website that its battery should last at least 6 hours on normal/mixed usage. However, I am pretty concerned that my device is not up to the mark when it comes to battery timing.

If this is what it offers the maximum, then what's the point of spending my hard earned money on it?

Thank you for posting back.

Updating the system drivers will fix most of the software driver glitches.

Let's use Support Assistant to check and calibrate the battery, follow the instructions in this section.

  1. In Windows, search for and open HP Support Assistant.

If the app is not installed on your computer, go to the HP Support Assistant website to download the latest version.

  2. Select the My devices tab, and then select your PC from the device list.

  3. Click the Troubleshooting and fixes tab, and then select Battery Check.

  4. Wait while the battery check completes. HP Battery Check displays the results.

Keep me posted!
