Pavilion dv4 1222nr
Microsoft Windows Vista

Hello,

I have an HP Pavilion dv4 1222nr. When I turn it on, the fan turn on, but stools shortly afterwards. Then the caps lock and num lock buttons blink 4 timea, then stop. That goes on and there is no display. I have tried using a monitor, heating up the GPU with a heat gun, removing RAM, and just about any other fix online. I believe the gpu is burned up. Could that be the case. If so, is there any way I can replace it?

I meant the fan stops shortly after the laptop turned on. Still same issue though

I have tried this. It doesn't seem to work. I believe I have an overheated GPU. I have tried using a heat gun as seen in tutorials and read articles on your websites. Nothing seems to work. If it is rendered dead, I will just use it for parts since just the motherboard seems affected

@Red-Jay_14,

Yes, it looks like a hardware issue. I recommend you contact support and check the available service optinos for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!

Ok. Thankyou for your help so far. I will post how it goes. I'm not too worried about the laptop, since it was going to be thrown away anyway (I saved it to either fix it or make stuff from the parts)

Once more, Thankyou for your help so far
