Hi All,
I just updated my Pavilion to Windows 10, now the battery does not show up as charging and even when it is charged it will power off suddenly if the cord is not plugged to it. I am looking for a new bios that may have resolved the false bad battery issue.

You're very welcome.
Since you have one of the models with the AMD Turion processor, you can only update the BIOS in XP or Vista.
Here are the links to the last BIOS update for your notebook...

Hi:
What is the product number of your dv6000?
Use this guide to find that information.

Any BIOS update available would have to be run in Vista--especially if your notebook has the AMD processor and Nvidia chipset.
100% BIOS update failure rate when the BIOS is not run in XP or Vista.
Some folks reported success updating the BIOS in the dv6000's on W7 with the Intel processors and chipsets.

Here is the link to every driver that HP has for most PC's and notebooks.
The problem is there are no associated files that tell you which ones are for what PC's.
I use 3rd party driver websites to see if I can find the drivers they use.
Helpjet.net is one I mostly use.
You drop the last two numbers from the files they have listed, and those are normally the HP file numbers.
Then just go to the ftp site and see if they exist.
