Hp Pavilion dv7-3085dx

Hi I would like to upgrade the ram in my laptop, I have a Hp Pavilion dv7-3085dx running Intel i7. I currently have 6 GB of ram. I am not sure what the max amount I can upgrade to is. I also do not know what kind of ram to purchase. Any help would be much appreciated as I am new to this and dont want to order something that will not work. Thank you.

It has 2GB+4GB now and supports 8GB max. You can replace 2GB with SAME 4GB on another slot or install the following lower voltage RAM

Adding 2GB more (from 6GB to 8GB) won't give you a big improvement.

Regards.
