Hi Guys,

I have a HP ProBook 450 G7. I tried replacing the Wireless Card inside it. However, the copper end of the connecting Antenna's have been damaged when reconnecting; despite trying to be very careful when doing so.

Would anyone know where one could get the correct antenna's as a replacement ?. If one could provide a link for these, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP ProBook 450 G7 Notebook PC

Chapter 3, page 21, item 8 has the antenna kit and part number needed.

WLAN antennas (includes bezel adhesive and display enclosure adhesive)    L77283-001

Unfortunately, the antenna kit is on back order, so you will have to find another source of supply.

If you broke the terminal off the Wi-Fi card and it is lodged inside the antenna connector, you may be able to remove the broken piece by using some fine instruments such as a jeweler's loupe or other magnifying equipment, a sturdy pin or needle and some small needle nose pliers.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the response. I really appreciate it.

I would just need the 2 WLAN antenna's, as the WI-FI card is perfectly fine.

I wonder if I get a older laptop (G3 or G4), could I just use the antennas from that, as it would still have the capabilities of using 2.4ghz & 5ghz range?.

You're very welcome.

You can check the service manuals and see if they use the same antenna part number.

If they don't, the antennas may not fit the same way that the antennas your notebook comes with do.

But they would have the same type ends that connect to a M.2 Wi-Fi card.
