HP ProBook 450 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC (4D3W7AV)

Hello. I have a Probook 450 G9 (6A2A9EA), with 1TB SSD, and i want to instal a second SSD of 512 or 1TB. I have a free slot M2 for SSD2 / WWAN (No WWAN install). I have an old SSD M2 SATA III 2242, and it looks like it fit there (on HP site it says I need a SSD 2230). What size is correct: 2230 or 2242? Thank you.

@MuntenescuM

2230 (shorter) is correct as mentioned on page 3 of its manual

I ordered an 2230 SSD, but when I open laptop case it is not correct size. The correct size is 2242. Or at least for my model 6A2A9EA.

Yes, MuntenescuM there has been a lengthy discussion about this "issue" that concerns Probooks G9/G10 here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Second-ssd-drive-on-elitebook-...

You should read it from beginning to end. To sum it all up, you need a 2242 PCIe SSD (NOT Sata), and it will only work if you have the slot with the notch (gap) on the right where it says "ssd2". Although banhien EXPERT Level 20 went by the book (or in this case by the manual) on this, HP has made an extremely complicated mess of the matter...........
