I too am having this issue, battery is twice the original height. I have the HP Spectre x360 15-ch011dx. I'd rather not get a third party battery, I would like HP to just sell me one.

Good luck they don't seem to care. I raised a ticket with HP and I never heard anything back. From what I can tell it's impossible to get as genuine battery. My X360 15-ch004na is sitting here with the cover off as the battery pushed the bottom cover off so I took it out.

Same as my spectre ..using it like pc ...i think they made spectre x360 for that garbage purpose only

they are not considering a recall on our laptop ...and they also dont have the replacement battery available...In short they are telling us theres nothing you can do ...just help yourself... google it and buy from random stores...This is How HP deals with customer..no doubt why ppl like dell...eventhough their laptop batteries face same issue but they atleast consider and they always have parts in their storee... And customer service is really great.

I gave up trying to locate a genuine hp battery for my laptop. I ordered this from amazon...

Installed it no problem and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I don't get the counterfeit battery error on bootup.
