Hp spectre x360 i7 8750h gtx1050ti
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, I just bought Hp spectre x360 15.6 latest version and I found out some problem about the cooling system and the laptop its self.

the Fan is made of metal so the noise made of it is the worst to my ears, the fan is always on if I get connect to another display in mode: second screen display only and if i use both external display and laptop screen at the same time (extend mode) the fan will destroy my ears and the heat will be very high . So I noticed something quite wrong about this laptop's system, whenever I connect to an external display, it will be connected through gpu gtx 1050ti not the onboard one(intel hd 630 or something) that's why the fan is always on in the second screen only and unbelievable insane on extend mode. I tried to disable the gtx 1050ti in device manager but it will not allow me to connect to an external display without gpu gtx 1050ti . So I hope Hp will fix this problem soon by writing new Bios or something.

Welcome to HP Support Community

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers and BIOS for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊
