Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello i want to upgrade the laptop with 16GB of ram here are the specs of RAM:

HyperX HX318LS11IBK2/16 two 1G x 64-bit (8GB)
DDR3L-1866MHz CL11 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) 2Rx8, low voltage, memory modules, based on sixteen 512M x 8-bit DDR3 FBGA components per module. Total capacity is 16GB.
Each module kit has been tested to run at DDR3L-1866MHz at a low latency timing of 11-11-11 at 1.35V or 1.5V

As well i want to put in SSD with read/write speeds of 540mbs/520mbs

My question is will this laptop support this type of RAM with 1866MHz and is it using sata3 connection that will support the SSD speeds?

Thank you.

Kind regards
Andrius

Based off of my experiences with a very similar HP laptop (ab231na to be exact), you should be perfectly fine. However, I'd recommend 8GB RAM unless you feel that you really need 16GB, that is your choice to make. For the SSD, I'd recommend the Samsung 850 EVO, it's a top performer for the money and it's from Samsung. Yes, the laptop will support SATA III 6Gbps, allowing for full performance from the SSD.
