Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (599K0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone, I would like to consult your experience and mastery of the subject so that you can solve the following concerns please.

I just bought the device (Notebook) HP Victus 15 Fa0025nr and I could verify that it has a single socket for ssd m.2 and 2 spaces for RAM, SO Windows 11 updated to date and I would like to know the following:

1. What is the maximum RAM that supports this notebook (currently has 8GB in 2x4GB at 3200mhz).

2. What is the maximum disk capacity supported by the device (It came with a 512GB WD SN810 disk).

And in both cases which parts could you recommend me to buy.

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info and drive capacities offered in the model series.

According to the manual, your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and you would be 100% sure you could install a 1 TB NVMe SSD, but I don't know why you could not go for more than that if necessary.

The 16 GB memory capacity seems pretty low to me.

You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can actually support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Hi!, Thanks for your answer,

I follwed the steps in your message:

MaxCapacityEx: 67.108.864 So, I divided It by 1,048,576 and the result is 64 (64GB I think)

Then I can go over the 16GB limit which is written in the manual right?
