Hello, I am trying to "update" a hp probook 4430s laptop. I have had many problems to get exactly the memory model that comes from the factory or there is not or it is absurdly expensive. I do not plan to pay so much for hardware from 9 years ago. Looking I found a memory that meets almost all the characteristics 4gb pc3 10600 1.5v 1333Mhz cas 9 240 pin, the only problem is that it is single rank, the seller tells me that it is compatible but maybe he just wants to sell me the card. my question is can I install a 4gb single rank ram memory together with a double rank 4gb memory in this laptop model?

The series has many models/products and they support
- Standard: DDR3 PC3-10600 SDRAM (1333 MHz) Two SODIMM slots supporting dual-channel memory 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB SODIMMs
- Maximum : Upgradeable to 8GB with 4GB SODIMMs in slots 1 and 2
- Dual-channel: Maximized dual-channel performance requires SODIMMs of the same size and speed in both memory slots.
Since DDR3 RAM sticks are a bit hard to find, you can use lower voltage DDR3L RAM. The following RAM are compatible
