Hi, 

I bought hp envy x360 13 in Jan 2021, 

I always use it on my desk, never even brought it to anywhere... 

one day I was opening the laptop, and I heard crackling sound, and it was the hinge... 

the screen is completely fine, not damaged at all, but the problem is in the hinge only... 

I went to HP verified service center in my country (Jordan), and they told me that it would cost me (320JOD) which is equal to 450USD!! 

This is really disappointing, as I used it very gently for a year or so, and never moved it from my desk...

Is there is any solution?

I see you are experiencing Hinge issues with the HP Envy x360 Notebook. It is a hardware issue on the PC. I apologize for the Inconvenience.  

 

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out.

I tried to reach phone assist in Jordan, I kept waiting for more than 20 minutes to reach PC repair team, but no one was there...
