Hi @Babul90,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP K300 gaming keyboard space bar requires a hard press, try these steps.

  • Clean the Keyboard: Dust and debris can hinder key movement. Carefully remove the keycap using a keycap puller (or gently with your fingers) and clean underneath with compressed air or a soft brush.
  • Inspect for Obstructions: Check if anything is obstructing the stabilizers (the metal bars under larger keys like the space bar).
  • Adjust the Stabilizers: Sometimes the stabilizers can be misaligned. Gently press them back into place if they seem out of alignment.
  • Lubricate: Apply a small amount of keyboard-safe lubricant to the stabilizers if they feel sticky (use cautiously).
  • Check Keycap Fit: Ensure the keycap is properly seated on the switch and stabilizers.
  • Re-seat the Switch: If it’s a mechanical keyboard, ensure the switch itself is firmly seated.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
