HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d4000 (4C802AV)

Few weeks ago i had an issue with battery.....after running the diagnostics i found out that battery was needed to be replaced. My laptop was only working while plugged in....the battery percentage won't from 0%. Due to lack of time I couldn't visit the service center and was using the laptop while plugged in. Today when i plugged it again and press the power button the screen won't turn on but the power indicator is turning white.....the internal fan is also working. All I want to know is , is it cause of the battery or there is something else also that needs to be repaired?

Hi @sayn_c10,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

"Thank you for sharing the details of the issue. Based on your description, the problem could be related to the battery, but we can't be certain just yet. To isolate the issue, let's try performing a BIOS restore—if this works, it may have just been a glitch. If not, we’ll need to explore other troubleshooting steps or arrange a service for the PC. Please note that if the device is out of warranty, the service may be chargeable. Let me know how it goes!"

Let's try the BIOS Restore:

1) Shutdown the computer, keep the  charger plugged

2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.

3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.

4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
