Pavilion 14 ce0508sa

Hi I’m thinking of buying the hp pavilion 14 ce0508sa but as I want it for music production I might need to upgrade RAM and SSD at a later date. (Ram 8gb and ssd 254 mb). Can anyone advise if this is easy enough to do on this particular laptop? I heard some laptops this cannot be done

Hi,

There is one RAM slot and max is 16GB of DDR4 2400Mhz.

The M2 drive you can upgrade to your desired capacity and it even supports the faster PCIe NVMe kind such as the Samsung 970 Evo or similar or slower and cheaper SATA3 kind.

Now is it easy or not? Not really difficult, basically you need to remove the bottom cover and remove the battery. This is the same for either upgrade.

You can see the steps for RAM on page 52 of service manual and SSD on page 50
