Hello, genius,

I have a notebook HP Pavilion G6 1270 ew model and Processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz.

Right now I am using Windows 11 OS in my notebook. my computer is very slow and when optimizing computer health, it shows that my notebook processor does not support Windows 11, right now I don't have plans to buy a new laptop so I am considering upgrading my processor. can anybody help me with which processor is suitable and where to buy it?

waiting for your support.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual:

c02968997 (hp.com)

Chapter 1 has the list of supported processors.

Looks like the best processor you can install would be the Intel® Core™ i7-2620M.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of your notebook's processor and the i7-2620M:

Intel® Product Specification Comparison

The only place that I know of where you can find processors for old notebooks would be on eBay.

If you haven't upgraded the memory to 2 x 4 GB yet and replaced the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD, that would probably help performance more than upgrading the processor.
