You're very welcome.

If you have read the service manual procedures to install a M.2 SSD and memory and feel you can do the job yourself without breaking anything, feel free to do so.

I doubt your notebook is under warranty anymore.

You can have an 8 GB + a 16 GB memory chip installed and the total will be 24 GB running in single channel mode. like it is now.

Suggested NVMe SSD:  I picked the 500 GB model.  You can go higher or lower depending on your storage needs and budget.

Hi:

See chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide for the supported drive types and memory upgrade information...

can you explain the ram configuration that is listed ? For SSD 256gb m.2 PCIe is maximum, correct me if it's wrong.

HP Recommended

You can install up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2666 MHz memory according to the manual.

The 'Two non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slots,' means that HP wants any work to be done by an authorized service center.

Chapter 5 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.

The 256 GB SSD capacity is normally just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.

While I cannot 100% guarantee it will work, I see absolutely no reason why a 500 GB or 1 TB NVMe SSD wouldn't work.

Thank you for the clarification, so is it not possible for me to upgrade RAM on my own?

Also, I searched within my laptop and got to know maximum capacity RAM is of 32gb (one of the methods you had posted in some post) .

So my doubt is that can i have a combination of 8 + 16gb ram ? With 16gb ram being the new one.

And would you suggest good RAM and SSD to go for?

Hello,I needed another clarification ,would I be requiring a heatsink or an ssd with a heatsink ?

Or the suggested ssd would be enough?

This is my laptop setup.

You shouldn't need a heat sink with the WD Blue SN570.

Does your notebook even have enough clearance to support a heat sink?

The heat sink would have to be pretty thin.
