Hi, I have read in this forum a verified answer that my laptop only has m.2 SATA, but I have opened my laptop and seen a PCIe input, is it possible? I'm a newbie, sorry, possibly I'm wrong, but I need to know.

I attach a photo. Is that an m.2 PCIe input?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

A rose by any other name, as Shakespeare says. That is an M.2 port. They all look the same, but some support only SATA M.2, and some support SATA or NVME. Yours is the former. It is also broadly correct to call it  a PCIe slot, but the PCIe interface can be SATA or NVME. On that particular motherboard only a SATA M.2 will work. I know it has only two chambers but the three prong SATA M.2 interface will slide right into that port and engage. Good luck.

Thank you very much, your response has been great.

I'd like to ask you another question if it's not a hassle. Since I can't install a Nvme, is there a performance difference between installing a SATA SSD ( replacing my HDD) or installing an M.2 SATA? Thank you very much again and excuse my English.

No difference. A SATA M.2 and a 2.5 inch SATA SSD are basically the same device in a different package. Either will do about 500-550 mbps read time which is way, way better than a mechanical drive. NVME can be up to 3000 mbps but in actual usage a SATA SSD seems almost as good as an NVME.
