Product: HP PROBOOK 640 G8

Hi all, I wanted to upgrade the NVMe disk. Can I install this in my hp probook 640 G8 ?

WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB M.2 2280  PCIe Gen4 NVMe

Hi:

 

You can, but since the NVMe SSD slot is only PCIe Gen 3.0, the drive will only run at a max speed of around 3,500 MBPS.

 

You probably cannot fit the model with a heat sink due to the limited clearance inside your notebook.
