Hello,
a screenshot with 90B fan error appears very often at power on of my HP Spectre X360 13 AE laptop.
Sometime, when I carry a hard reset (power on button pressed for about 6 seconds), the problem disappears. After few days, it appears again. Very randomly.
However, fans seem to be ok. They start to work after 4 to 8 minutes after power up when CPU is highly engaged, and there is not too much noise (considering about 3 year of activities). Computer is not too hot, and never happened an automatic power off or block.
Available HP diagnostic software on other hardware components reports no error. I haven't found, for this HP X360 AE, a software to check for fan integrity or speed , or temperature issues.
Any suggest in order to better understand, manage or solve this problem ? Obviously, I don' t want to 'crash' my laptop, and I'm worry about it.
Maybe a 'electric fail contact' of the fan connection that at startup does not check correctly the fan status ?
Thank to all of you in advance

Hello.
I called by phone HP support after sending an email.
BIOS updating didn't solve the problem.
We checked for CPU temperature under hard run (prime95). They were ok, and fans seemed to work well.
In the opinion of HP support, the error should be a 'false error' on startup. The PC is out of warranty, and any hardware check or spare part is very expensive.
Finally, HP support suggested me to reduce the CPU clock speed, under normal use, down to 1.8 Ghz. This was done by adopting an enhanced setting (they gave me a new key register entry string ) in the control panel (disabling 'aggressive mode').
In the last 5 days, the error never happened. But I'm not sure that it will not appear again. But I'm also confident that fans are OK.
HP support I received was very effective, in my opinion.
Thank you for your interest, best regards.
