Hp spectre x360 convertible 15 change battery problem

Hello everyone,

I have a 2020 HP Spectre x360 convertible 15 laptop which, following a battery change, turns off at the password screen if not battery powered.

Once the PC is turned on, by disconnecting the power supply the PC stays on and does not seem to give any sudden shutdown problem.

I state that I had already ordered a first battery which had turned out to be defective, as it signaled very different maximum charge percentages between power and non-power.

I have now received this new battery (not original), which after a few checks is absolutely functional, but has the only flaw that the ignition problem if not powered.

My old original battery doesn't have this problem, and everything works perfectly both with and without power.

What do you think it could be? Do you think the problem could be PC related?

• Ensure you have the correct replacement battery: Double-check that you have the exact battery model recommended for your HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15. You can usually find this information in the user manual or on the HP support website.
• Power off and unplug the laptop: Before attempting any battery replacement, shut down your laptop completely and unplug it from any power sources.
• Locate the battery compartment: The battery compartment on the HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15 is typically located on the underside of the laptop. Look for a small latch or release mechanism that secures the battery in place.
