Just wanted to share that this upgrade is possible. I had to force the driver using the "Have Disk" option but was able to upgrade my zBook G3 to a GTX 1050Ti. My 3D mark score doubled over the Quadro card. Temps are fine, sleep works, multi monitors / dock works, etc.
