Hi,
I would like to know the model for my dv6 notebook. all i know is that it is i7-3630Qm CPU @ 2.40 Ghz. (8 CPUs)
BIOS - InsydelH20 Version 03.71.51F.29
Operating system is- Windows 10 pro - 64 bit (10.0 Build 15063)
i'd like to upgrade from HDD to SDD - what is a decent brand to use?
and my Memory from 4 gb to at least 8 gb - what should i look for the compatibility.
I also dont know if my video card is upgradeable.
Thus, will use the laptop for a decent game at least.
Appreciate your feedback!
Thank you
Queennie

Hi:
You can find the model information regarding your PC by looking at the info at the link below.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
Once you know the product number or model number, enter it in the box at the link below to get the support page for your model.

In the user guides section there should be a maintenance and service manual and chapter 1 will have the memory upgrade info.
Most PC's with the specs you posted can take 2 x 8 GB of memory for a total of 16 GB.
