Hi:
Yes, that is a M.2 slot that supports a SATA M.2 SSD only, not NVMe.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types...

I recommend a WD Blue M.2 SATA SSD in the storage capacity that fits your needs and budget.
This is the 250 GB capacity...

You're very welcome.
Every HP notebook and desktop PC that I know of has a M.2 slot that looks like yours, with only one key.
You cannot tell simply by looking at the slot as to what type of M.2 SSD is supported.
If you just looked at the key, you would assume that you could install a NVMe SSD... the drive with only one notch for the key.
However, there is nothing that will prevent the SSD with two notches from fitting in the same slot, which is why you must read the service manual for the PC in question.
Some M.2 slots support SATA SSD's only. Some support NVMe SSD's only, and some support both SATA and NVMe.
Here is a discussion where someone looked at the slot in a similar 15-bs model, assumed it was NVMe, because it only had one key, bought a NVMe SSD, and it didn't work.
Solved: Samsung 970 PRO NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD not working in HP Laptop - HP Support Community - 7248414
So, we know from what HP has written in the service manual, plus what other forum members have done, that a NVMe M.2 SSD will not work in the 15-bs model series.
There are other discussions like the one above on the forum, but I don't have the patience to search for more of them.

very very thank you,
One last question
I read manual which you attached to answer
in that manual its somewhere mention
Dual storage configuration (Intel Core processors only)
● 256 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
● 128 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
means the ssd has to be 256gb or less than that?? or I can use 500gb of ssd ??
