Hi @Naidukd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand you're experiencing noise from your computer fan while it's in heat mode, it may be due to overheating or excessive workload. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Clean the Fan & Vents

  • Power off and unplug the device.
  • Use compressed air to blow dust out of vents and the fan area.
  • If accessible, gently wipe the blades with a soft cloth.

Check Placement

  • Ensure the device is on a hard, flat surface.
  • Avoid blocking vents with walls, cloth, or paper.
  • Elevate slightly if possible to improve airflow.

Update Firmware/Drivers

  • For laptops or PCs: update BIOS/firmware and system drivers from the manufacturer’s support site.
  • Updates often improve fan control and reduce unnecessary high‑speed spinning.

Adjust Power Settings

  • In Windows:
  • Go to Control Panel → Power Options.
  • Select a Balanced or Power Saver plan to reduce heat output.
  • This lowers workload and fan speed.

Run UEFI Test
Enter Diagnostics

  • Shut down laptop → Power on → Press Esc repeatedly → Startup Menu → Press F2.
  • Select Component Tests
  • In menu → choose Component Tests → select Thermal.
  • Run Fan Test
  • Pick Fan Speed Test or Thermal Test.
  • Test runs a few minutes, checks fan speed/response/cooling.
  • Result: PASSED or FAILED.
  • Review Results.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
