The laptop I bought has a r5 3500u with a built in Vega 8 (APU). So instead of having dedicated video ram, the system ram (2667mhz) DDR4 is used.(processor is limiting it to 2400) But I have a blank ram bank, so the ram is not running in duel channel which is effectively cutting the memory bandwidth in half. Can anyone give me a link to a good 2nd stick of ram? 8gb DDR4 SDRAM. I see a few on Walmart and bestbuy but I want to make sure it will work together and fit the ram slot.

Thank you in advance.

Next to buying from HP Parts Store, Crucial technologies is your best option for additional memory.

how can I tell the form factor of the ram? is all DDR4 sdram the same shape? Sorry if its a silly question I've been working on desktops for about 10 years but never got the nerve to open a laptop. trying to make this as painless as possible.
