I bought this Hp from Finger Hut two weeks ago, and I have been having problems with it ever since,
It's registered as HP 17-ca0xxx but I can't find any documentation on this computer the PDF, that HP gave me was different than the model number, but they sore up and down it was the same computer, then I was giving two different answers to basic questions, 1. how much ram can be added and 2. will it take an SSD M2 stick or SSD ram.
They told me that it can take 12 GB of DDR 4 ram ( installed in this computer is 8 GB of ram) this computer has two dim slots.
THEN, a different " expert" told me that this computer took 16 GB of ram 8 GB in each dim slot.
When I asked about the SSD the first person told me that it will take an M2 SSD but only 250GB.
The second told me that it would take 500 GB SSD M2 stick.
Both said that it indeed could be upgraded, the only difficulty I would have was opening the back, I took the advice of the " Experts" here and bought 500 GB SSD M2 stick, not only did it not take this upgrade there was no SSD connector or cords that would connect to an SSD just places on the motherboard indicating where the SSD should go, to add frustration to the pile, the dim slot wouldn't take any ram on the other side, there were two dim slots for and extra stick of ram but when I added it the computer did not start when I removed it, the computer started again, I paid 689. dollars for this computer it's a pile of crap should I return this computer or am I missing something, please advise?

Hi
So....... Product Number : 6LM31UA -- HP NOTEBOOK - 17-CA0045NR
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=6LM31UA
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp-17-ca0000-laptop-pc/20395907/model/27734065/manuals
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06245114
Page 35 Looks like a single option only, but I am usually wrong.
The Main Board is used in 35 variant PC's I believe.
and it coud be this one, perhaps..
showing 2 slots and making me wrong.
If in doubt please ask.

Single option only, does that translate to garbage? and can't be upgraded? I can use an SSD square harddrive but not an SSD 2 M, then why on earth would the show on the motherboard places that they can be installed?

That makes two of us, not even HP help on the phone or through email or live chat can help...they like this computer, are useless I would never pay for the extended warranty its not worth it, and I will never buy another HP either.
