My notebook is the Pavilion - 15t-cs000 CTO
Right now, I'm trying to replace the Intel Optane from my laptop with a Samsung 970 Evo Plus. I have heard that in order to do that, I have to disable the Intel Optane in RST and in my BIOS. I have disabled the Intel Optane in the Intel RST software, but when I tried to disable it in my BIOS, I ran into trouble. My current BIOS version is F.16. I was told that in order to disable it in BIOS, I would go BIOS Setup > System Configuration > UEFI Device Configuration > Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology > Intel Optane > Uncheck "Preserve user data". The problem is after I clicked on UEFI Device Configuration, It leads me to this (first picture). Then, if I click on the 13.4 GB disk which is most likely the Intel Optane, it leads me to this (second picture). It gives me no option to disable it. I don't know what to do from here. I tried updating the Intel Optane Drivers and that didn't do anything. At this point, since I already disabled the Intel Optane in RST, can I just take it out of my laptop and put the SDD in? What could happen if I did that?

Hi,
Yes, you can remove it. You can see that it is in a non-raid situation since you already disabled it in the RST software in Windows.

You will need to reinstall the OS on the SSD.
Hope it helps,
