Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and older

I am trying to print business checks via Quicken on my OfficeJet Pro 9135e printer.  I put the business check in the tray, close it and enter print and the printer prints the plain paper under the business check.  It will not print the business check.  I have tried several times.  When I take out all of the plain paper, leaving only the business check, the printer will not print and tells me to load paper.  I have tried selecting paper through the "Modify" paper app on the printer but none of them seem to work.

What do I need to do?

I do not speak Mac.

I do not use Quicken.

I cannot direct you fully -- I do know that were you using Windows, you would want to have installed the full driver printer software from Software & Drivers for your device / OS type and version.

I can provide the means for you to check the printer's paper size / type settings using EWS.

The information might help you sort where the paper you want to use is not selected on the printer, cannot be selected, or is being missed.  At the least, EWS is easier than using tiny screens to hunt and peck at settings.

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure

Next (as available)

Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default options / tray
